One person is being killed and another is being injured in a shooting in Chicago, Illinois, United States, on June 20, 2024, the first day of Summer. At approximately 12:03 a.m., Thursday morning, on the 700 block of E. 67th St., two male adults are standing in a vacant lot when an unknown suspect is firing shots in their direction, striking both victims. A male victim in his 30s is sustaining multiple gunshot wounds to the body and is being transported to the hospital where he is being pronounced dead.
